Transfer Information
One of the primary missions of the Peralta Community College District is to prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Students planning to transfer should complete the lower division (freshman/sophomore) major, general education and elective courses for a total of 60 transferable units so they can transfer to a university with junior (upper division) standing. Although it is not required for transfer, many students consider earning an Associate Degree prior to transfer.
Peralta has a variety of resources to assist students with the transfer process. Counselors are familiar with all transfer requirements and can assist students in planning a program of study to ensure smooth, timely, and successful transfer.
