Peralta News – New Laney College Gardening Class

Want to learn everything about growing your own food? Hurry and sign up for  Biology 801 taught by Doug Bruce and Grey Kolevzon. The brand new class is fee based so that means it’s open to the public! The cost is only $60 for 12 whole hours of instruction in Laney’s Edible Garden. Knowing how to grow Organic food is not only paramount to an individual’s health and lifestyle, but these skills can be added to your resume if you want to be part of the Californian culinary and grocery industry that is exploding right now as Oakland becomes one of the country’s top destinations to visit thanks to it’s renowned restaurant and bar scene. Local organic farming operations continue to expand in response to the demand for fresh ingredients grown by local labor. Learn, have fun, get your hands dirty and be a part of the action that will benefit you and your community.
