Mix’d Ingrdnts is an all female dance company that exists to empower women to express themselves. Founded in 2010 by Oakland natives, Samara Atkins and Jenay Anolin, Mix’d Ingrdnts cohesively combines various dance styles of Hip hop, Ballet, Samba, Waacking, Breaking, West African, Modern, House and Aerial into performance.

Mix’d Ingrdnts represents a diverse group of women artists that strive to build lasting relationships within the community and beyond through their movement and art of storytelling.

Our newest creation, “Q.U.E.E.N. From Throne to Alter”, takes a look at how society views a woman and how we establish what it means to be a queen, regardless of these external factors.

The 2014 show dates are as follows: Friday, February 7th @ 8pm & Saturday, February 8th | @ 2pm & 8pm at Laney College Theater in Oakland.  Get your tickets now!
