Health/Wellness Fair 2013 – Laney College Campus
The 2013 Health Fair was held on April 11th on the Laney College Campus. It featured music, free food, information on dental, medical and mental health support services as well as a variety of health related organizations that offered all types of free advice and services!

At the Laney College Campus on April 12th there will be a health fair. From 11am to 1pm there will be health organizations offering all types of free advice and services! Also there will be live musical performances and skits all event long.
And from 6pm to 9pm there will be an informative HIV Showcase plus you can get screened for HIV free! Peralta Wellness Center Director Indra Thadani stresses it is a responsibility to one’s self and others to practice safe sex and get screened on a regular basis in order to conquer this deadly disease. While early treatment can prolong life, not many people know that the daily medicine for an HIV positive patient is very cost prohibitive at $3300 a month!

On the fourth floor of the Laney College Student Center is the Peralta Wellness Center. Funded by the Student Health Fee, the Peralta Wellness Center offers medical, family planning and mental health services and help our students navigate their medical options. Services are available to all Peralta students on a drop-in or appointment basis.
