TR Handbook: “FACULTY EVALUATION POLICIES & PROCEDURES HANDBOOK For All Faculty – Tenure Track, Tenured and Part-time/Long-Term Substitutes” — Revised August 2010)
The Faculty Evaluation Policies & Procedures Handbook (“TR Handbook”) contains the policies and procedures for evaluations of all faculty, although it primarily covers the tenure review process for tenure track faculty (Part One: BP 3.30). Available in the Appendices to the TR Handbook are: the 4-year Overview of Peralta’s Tenure Review Process; the Semester Timelines for the 10-11 academic year, and the List of District Approved Tenure Review Forms.
Evaluation procedures for part-time faculty, long-term substitutes, and tenured faculty are also coverd in this handbook (Part Two: BP 3.30 and BP 3.31). The relevant procedures for evaluating all part-time faculty pursuant to Board Policy 3.31 was revised in 2006 pursuant to Article 30H of the PFT Contract; but the procedure was streamlined in a Side Agreement contained herein (see pg. 39-40).
