Fiscal Stewardship

We are pleased to report that the recent independent audit conducted by the nationally-recognized firm Vavrinek, Trine, Day & Co., LLC has concluded that the District has expended Measure B Parcel Tax proceeds in accordance with the 2012 voter-approved measure.

This finding confirms the continued strong fiscal stewardship at Peralta Colleges over its budget and voter-approved funds.  As you are aware, in 2016, the District received a AAA credit rating from Fitch Rating Services and refinanced its General Obligation bonds, saving District taxpayers approximately $24.7 Million.

I want to thank the Peralta Colleges community and the Measure B Oversight Committee for their commitment to student success, strong fiscal management and investing in our community’s future.
