Did you know that the word ‘yoga’ literally means ‘to yoke’ or ‘to join’? What does that mean, you ask? Think about it this way, when you practice yoga you are ‘yoking’ the mind, body and spirit. Taking time out of from a busy schedule for a regular practice promotes relaxation and rejuvenation. Yoga helps relieve stress, unclutter the mind and enhances the body’s ability to relax. There are many styles of yoga such as hot yoga, power yoga, relaxation yoga, and prenatal yoga, just to name a few.

The East Bay also has various yoga studios that will help you relax, manage stress and stay or get fit.  Following is a list of low-cost studios in the area:
