This Orientation is an important beginning to your studies at the Peralta Community College District. We will be providing you with important information on a variety of topics including academics, immigration, safety, transportation, and much more!

We ask that you pay attention and try to learn as much as you can.

All students must take an assessment exam because the results will be used by our counseling staff to assist you in selecting the appropriate courses.

Our office has reserved ESL/Math Assessment Tests for you to take at Laney College which will take place at the Welcome Center, Building A, Room A-109. After taking this test, you will be required to attend the ESL Orientation at Laney College to receive your scores and become familiarized with the ESL program. (Note: You will need to also attend the mandatory International Student Orientation taking place on Friday, August 11th at 8:00am at the Peralta Community College District Board Room. ESL tests can only be scheduled in-person at the Assessment Center located in the L-Building, room L-236 or by phone at (510) 748-5267

Must complete the online orientation and print out your certificate of completion and bring it with you to your assessment test appointment. –
