Faculty Diversity Internship Program
Throughout its history, Peralta Community District has been a leader in equal opportunity. Today we live in a country within which mixtures of cultures from around the world work together towards the goals of the country. To remain world leaders, we cannot afford to bypass talented individuals by leaving out important groups who can greatly benefit our society, and one of the greatest contributions is through teaching.
The overall objectives of the program are to support the District’s commitment towards equal employment opportunity by supporting and encouraging diverse groups of qualified persons in their pursuits to become community college faculty (Board Policy 5.37). All interns must be underrepresented in their subject at the PCCD (Employee Demographic Data).
