Clinic Information

The Peralta Wellness Center at Laney College is located in the Laney College Student Center, Room SC410 (on the fourth floor).

The Peralta Wellness Center at Laney College is open in the Laney College Student Center, Room SC410A (on the fourth floor).  The medical clinic is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-5.   On the fourth (and fifth) Wednesday of each month, the clinic hours are from 1-7 p.m.  Mental health counseling and registration services are Monday – Friday from 9-5.   HIV testing is on Tuesday from 9-5.

Services offered will include pregnancy testing, family planning, birth control, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, HIV testing, pap smears, health education, mental health counseling, TB testing, physical exams, doctor visits and referral services .  More information is available on the FAQ page.

Purpose

Peralta Colleges Student Health Services is dedicated to assisting students to achieve and maintain optimum physical, mental and emotional health. We are committed to providing quality health care at a reasonable cost.

Eligibility

All students who pay the health fee will have access to health services at any campus.

Costs

Access to Student Heath Services is supported by the $17.00 health fee paid at time of registration (starting in Spring 2012, the fee will increase to $18).  The following listed services are available to students who have paid the fee. Additional fees may apply for certain services (lab tests, x-rays, etc.). If you are eligible for public coverage programs (i.e. MediCal, Family PACT, Healthy Families) your services may be billed.

Confidentiality

Your medical records and all discussions with the Student Health Services Staff are completely confidential in accordance with federal HIPAA regulations. Records are only released with written consent of the student, unless required by law.
