Fall 2017 Important Dates & Deadlines/Enrollment Dates

The dates for the Fall 2017 semester are August 21, 2017 to December 15, 2017.

August 7 M Drop for Nonpayment of Tuition and Enrollment Fees
August 21 M Day and Evening Instruction Begins
August 26 S Saturday Instruction Begins
August 26 S Last Day to Add without a Permission Number
September 4 M Last Day to Drop Regular Session Classes and Receive A Refund
Note: Short-term and open-entry classes must be dropped within 10% of the first class meeting to receive a refund. >>>2017 Fall Refund Drop Deadline Schedule.
September 4 M Last Day to Drop Regular Session Classes Without a “W” Appearing on Transcripts.
September 4 M Last Day to Add Regular Session Classes with an Instructor issued Permission Number
September 4 M Census Due – Instructors Verify Enrollment in Classes
September 4 M Labor Day – Holiday Observance
September 8 F Last Day to File for PASS/NO PASS Grading Option for Regular Session Classes 
October 20 F Last Day to File Petitions for AA, AS, or ADT  Degree/Certificate 
October 26 Th Professional Day – No Instruction
Nov. 10                                       F Veteran’s Day – Holiday Observance
Nov. 15 W Last Day to Withdraw from Regular Session Classes and Receive a “W”. All outstanding fees are due even if classes are dropped on this day.
Nov. 15 W Attendance Verification Day – Instructors Verify Enrollment
Nov. 23 – 26   Th-Su     Thanksgiving – Holiday Observance
December 9     S Saturday Instruction Ends
Dec. 10-15    Su-F Final Examinations
December 15 F Fall Semester Ends
December 22 F Grade Roster/Rollbooks are Due


NOTE:  Last day to drop without a “W” appearing on transcript may vary for Short-Term and Open-Entry, Open-Exit classes.

Saturday Instruction Begins August 26 and meet every Saturday except November 25. Saturday classes end  December 9.

Your  enrollment appointment date will be noted on your PASSPORT  Student Center  (under “Enrollment dates”) on or after April 10, 2017.

  • Placed on academic or progress probation or any combination thereof as defined in the Board Policies and District Administrative Procedure 4250 for two consecutive terms; or
  • Has earned one hundred (100) or more degree-applicable semester units at the district.
