At the January 26, 2016 meeting of the Peralta Colleges Board of Trustees, Chancellor Laguerre announced a new partnership with “K to College” to provide resources to our students in need. The Board received a positive report from the external auditor. And the Pirelli Group provided an Information Technology assessment.

At the October 20 meeting, Chancellor Laguerre update the Board on his visits to our colleges.
The Peralta Federation of Teachers recognized the outstanding work of our Human Resources Department in hiring 41 new full time faculty this year.
And Vice Chancellor of Finance Ron Little provided an update on our progress resolving external audit findings.

At the October 6, 2015 meeting, the Peralta Colleges Board of Trustees conducted a Public Hearing “sunshining” articles of negotiations with our three employee unions. Berkeley City College President Deborah Budd announced plans to apply for a new CIRM grant. At the September 8, 2015 meeting of the Peralta Colleges Board of Trustees, President Joi Lin Blake received a donation to the College of Alameda from Tenacity Ten Lacrosse organization to fund the CoA Promise. The Board approved the final 2015-2016 budget after a public hearing and presentation by Vice Chancellor Ron Little. The July 14, 2015 meeting began with a reception welcoming our new Chancellor Dr. Jowel C. Laguerre. Our college presidents provided updates on the Accreditation report. And the Board received the first report from our new Academic Senate President Cleavon Smith.
The June 23, 2015 meeting of the Peralta Colleges Board of Trustees began with a heart-felt farewell to Chancellor José M. Ortiz. It also featured the final report from outgoing District Acadaemic Senate President Dr. Karolyn van Putten. And Deputy Chancellor Gravenberg and Vice Chancellor Orkin presented a new “Multiple Measures” placement pilot program.
The February 17 meeting of the Peralta Colleges Board of Trustees featured a presentation of the 2014 Student Success Scorecard. This was followed by a report on the Career Technical Education and Workforce Development programs at the Peralta Colleges.
