The Eco Art Matters class at Laney College covers the history of the environmental/social justice arts movement. Students take field trips, volunteer, watch documentaries and put together an eco art exhibit.
The students do extensive research on an important “matter” of their choosing, develop a proposal, and then create artworks, installations, visual presentations or performances which are installed by the artists and exhibited at a local gallery. You can check them out on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EcoArtMatters
