The Peralta Community College District is pleased to announce the College of Alameda President Jannett N. Jackson, PhD, has been selected as a 2012 Distinguished Graduate of The University of Texas, Community College Leadership Program. Additionally, President Jackson was recently appointed to the Advisory Committee of Education Services (ACES).
“It is such an honor to receive both this recognition and opportunity to serve on this important committee,” said Dr. Jackson. “We’re proud of President Jackson’s accomplishments,” added Peralta District Chancellor Wise E. Allen, Ph.D.
Established in 1944, the Community College Leadership Program (CCLP) is part of the Department of Educational Administration at The University of Texas in Austin and is the nation’s oldest doctoral program, with a primary focus on the preparation of key community college leaders. More than 600 students have graduated from the program since its inception, with over 508 in the past 40 years. This year Dr. Jackson was selected by the faculty to join the ranks of this distinguished group of individuals as a recipient of the CCLP Distinguished Graduate Award for 2012.
