In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service, the Laney College Architecture program partnered with the National Park Service and the Peralta Hacienda House to create a parklet commemorating the Juan Bautista de Anza Historic Trail. On April 18, as part of National Parks week, their creation was unveiled. Representatives from the Park Service joined our students in celebrating this addition to the National Park System right here in Oakland. After a brief stay in the Laney Tower lobby, the parklet will be disassembled for final installation at the Peralta Hacienda Historic Park.
