Daniela Nikolaeva Pachtrapanskatakes some time out of her busy schedule teaching Graphic Arts courses at Laney College to share her success story with Peralta TV. During the dark communist era, she was at the frontline in the fight for democracy. She escaped the war-ridden Balkan Peninsula to pursue her creative passions and career in art. She painted and sold her artworks in Italy and France, taught design and languages classes at the ‘Place of Culture in Prague’, The Czech Republic and decided from there to immigrate to California. Once a student of the Peralta Colleges herself, she decided to give back to her Alma Matter and become a faculty member where she now teaches Design and Multimedia classes at Laney College!
