Laney College is hosting the Oakland edition of the KQED Open Newsroom next week on November 4th!
The Open Newsroom asks the question, “What can KQED News learn from you and your community?”
This will be part of an ongoing series of forums which invite community leaders, newsmakers, local business owners and residents to pitch stories, meet journalists and build a relationships. In attendance will be KQED’s East Bay Desk team Devin Katayama and Sandhya Dirksas well as morning newscaster Joshua Johnson and education reporter Ana Tintoclis. For the Oakland edition of the KQED Open Newsroom they would like to invite pitches around three themes:
– Community and Policing
– Jobs for Oaklanders
- School and Education
