In appreciation and recognition of Congresswoman Barbara Lee’s contributions to Merritt College and the Peralta Community College District, the Board of Trustees’ passed Resolution 14/15-05 at its July 15 meeting to name the Merritt Science and Allied Health Center the “Barbara Lee Science and Allied Health Center” in her honor. Trustee Linda Handy, in yellow, reads the Resolution to Saundra Andrews of Congresswoman Lee’s office, who is flanked by President of the Board, Abel Guillén.
