Berkeley City College Veteran’s Club will host a celebration in honor of Veteran’s Day at 12:15 p.m., Nov. 7, 2013, 1215 in the college’s ground floor atrium.
The Veteran’s Club is honored to have HMC David Holly, USN (Ret.) who is was on board the USS BENEVOLANCE (AH-13). The ship sank on Aug. 25, 1950 off of our local coast and 23 lives were lost. Chief Holly was heavily involved in naval operations during the Korean War. His presentation will be followed by 1st SGT Scott de Carillo, USMC (Ret.) a veteran of the Iraq War. We would like to invite BCC students and all members of the college community to attend this event to celebrate and honor our veterans who have sacrificed so much for us.
