Education and Prevention Information

Representatives from the Crisis Team, Peralta Sheriff Department, Wellness Services, Counseling Department, and other appropriate representatives will provide education and prevention information about sexual assault, bystander intervention, ongoing prevention and awareness campaigns, primary prevention programs, and risk reduction. These departments will also develop programs to prevent dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking and to discuss healthy relationships, healthy sexuality, communication and personal boundaries.  Written information about campus and community based health, mental health, victim advocacy, legal assistance, visa and immigration assistance, student financial aid, and other services available for victims will be provided to all students and employees.  College representatives from the aforementioned departments will also post prevention and education information on sexual violence on Laney College internet websites.  Sexual Assault information is available in the Peralta Wellness Center/Laney College Mental Health Center, College Sheriff, and on the Laney College website.
