Canvas Training Services Portal is available in all Canvas Help Menus. This portal contains different learning options like Webinars, Training Courses and Training Videos. Enjoy learning more about Canvas on your own! Here is how:
1- Go to Canvas Help Menu on the navigation bar
2- Choose “Training Services Portal”
3- Authorize to give access to your account.
4- Look at the monthly training calendar or enroll in one of the self-paced courses.

Would you like to learn more about CANVAS? If yes, there are free classes available for you at Merritt College. You can see the list of classes offered in Educational Technology Department. You can find the information about how to enroll and how to waive the enrollment fee:
1- Enroll in as a student
2- Complete the fee waiver form (and secure a dean’s signature)
EDT 1: Introduction to Online Teaching:
Course Description: Online/hybrid teaching pedagogy: Universal design in online course materials; effective organization and delivery of online materials; teaching and learning styles; effective online communication using discussion boards, live chat, online forums, blogs and wikis; best practices for online student assessment and grading; retention and motivation of online students.
EDT 2: Introduction to Using CanvasCourse Description:
Introduction to the Canvas online course management system: Setting the course and notification preferences, creating and uploading materials, creating and importing quizzes, setting testing parameters, adding online resources including multimedia, creating online discussions, using the internal message system, grading tools and introducing additional Canvas features and teaching strategies.
