We believe that students should succeed not only in academics, but socially. Our office provides opportunities for you to network with other students and the real world and would like you to be involved.
The Office of International Education hosts a series of workshops throughout each
semester to help you in different areas. These include workshops on how to transfer to
4-year universities, employment authorization, taxes and financial support, applying for
scholarships, and health and wellness. These workshops are hosted by OIE staff, as well
as others specializing in these areas.
Each semester, we try to offer fun activities for you to be involved in. In the past we
have gone hiking, camping, to sporting events, and even special tours to Google,
Facebook, and Amazon. We also have provided campus tours of nearby 4-year
institutions.
If you have any ideas or would like to help coordinate a trip for international students, send your ideas to us at international@peralta.edu.
Events include International Education Week, Graduation Celebration, Transfer Fairs, Lunar New Year Celebration, and Film Screenings.
