Like many of you, I am an immigrant. I had to overcome cultural and language barriers. I always believed in education, and once I realized that I have a passion for accounting and helping people in the community overcome challenges that are similar to those I confronted, I experienced a new sense of fulfillment. Now I have more than ten years’ experience of teaching college students, I’m an active member of professional organizations, and hold several awards: National Association of Black Accountants Award for scholastic achievement and outstanding leadership, San Francisco; Financial Women’s Association of San Francisco Award in Financial Leadership, San Francisco; Cal CPA Award, San Francisco.
